FluCamp Referral Scheme

The FluCamp Referral Scheme offers volunteers the opportunity to refer friends and family to participate in a FluCamp clinical trial. Subject to the terms and conditions below, volunteers whose referrals result in a friend or family member completing an applicable clinical trial will be eligible for compensation.

By making a referral, you are deemed to be in acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

These Terms and Conditions are effective from 1 August 2026 (“Effective Date”). Any Referral Payments relating to FluCamp clinical trials concluded prior to this Effective Date shall be subject to previous terms and conditions found here.

Terms and Conditions

About us

1. This Referral Scheme is managed and operated by hVIVO Services Limited (trading as FluCamp), a company registered in England and Wales under number 02326557, with a registered office address at 40 Bank Street, Floor 24, London, E14 5NR (hereinafter “FluCamp”).

Who is eligible for this Referral Scheme?

2. This Referral Scheme is open to any volunteer (hereinafter known as a “Referrer”) who has registered with FluCamp and who has received or been issued with a unique referral code (“Referral Code”) by FluCamp, provided they have accepted the Referral Scheme Terms and Conditions detailed herein, either whilst registering with FluCamp or subsequently via email when prompted by FluCamp.

How is a referral made?

3. Referrers can refer any person to register to participate in a FluCamp clinical trial (each a “Referred Participant”) by sharing with them their Referral Code. The Referred Participant must be over the age of 18, a resident of the United Kingdom, and must not have previously registered with FluCamp or been referred by another Referrer.

4. The Referred Participant must then include the Referrer’s Referral Code when registering for FluCamp.

5. A Referral Code can be entered by a Referred Participant when completing the online FluCamp registration form or provided verbally if registering by phone. If a Referral Code is not provided at the time of registration, it may be requested to be added within seven (7) days of registration. Requests made after this period will not be accepted.

6. When a Referred Participant completes their first applicable FluCamp clinical trial, the Referrer shall receive compensation for providing the initial referral (“Referral Payment”), subject to the below criteria.

How is the Referral Payment calculated?

7. The Referral Payment payable by FluCamp to the Referrer is based solely upon the first clinical trial completed by the Referred Participant that is eligible for a Referral Payment.

8. FluCamp, at its sole discretion, shall determine the exact value of the Referral Payment payable for each clinical trial prior to the commencement of the relevant trial. Such evaluation shall be based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, type of trial, participant eligibility requirements and duration, and shall be up to a maximum of £350.

9. FluCamp shall initiate payment of the Referral Payment within one (1) month of the Referred Participant completing the clinical trial, including all follow up appointments. The Referral Payment will be made via payment link shared by FluCamp.

10. Information about the payment amount offered for each clinical trial is not proactively communicated before the trial but is available to Referrers upon request by emailing FluCamp at [email protected]. Please note that we cannot discuss individual referred volunteers, including their participation or progress in clinical trials, with Referrers. We can only provide information about the referral payment amount applicable to the relevant trial and, following completion of the trial, notify you if a Referral Payment is due to you.

Conditions for receiving a Referral Payment

11. The Referrer shall only be eligible to receive the Referral Payment if the following conditions have been met:

(a) The Referred Participant registered with FluCamp using the Referrers’ Referral Code. The Referral Code must:

(i) have been entered on the Referred Participants’ registration within 7 days of registration; and

(ii) have been entered correctly, free from errors or misspelling.

(b) The Referred Participant completed a clinical trial run and operated by hVIVO Services Limited in full, including attending all appointments and follow ups. Should the Referred Participant be excluded from a trial for any reason and at any point during the trial, the Referrer will not be eligible for the Referral Payment. FluCamp shall have sole discretion in determining whether the Referred Participant has completed the clinical trial; and

(c) The Referred Participant commenced a clinical trial with FluCamp within 24 months of registering with the Referral Code.

Limitations on Referrals

12. There is no limit on how many people a Referrer can refer to FluCamp, nor how many separate Referral Payments a Referrer can receive, except that only one Referral Payment shall be made per Referred Participant, irrespective of how many clinical trials that same Referred Participant completes with FluCamp in the future.

13. A Referrer is not able to refer themselves, including either by reapplying to FluCamp or attempting to add their own Referral Code to their personal application or profile. Any such attempt by a Referrer shall result in the Referrer being disqualified from this Referral Scheme.

Confidentiality and Data Protection

14. The Referrer shall not disclose, share, publish or otherwise make available to any Referred Participant or other third party any confidential information relating to FluCamp, hVIVO Services Limited, its affiliates, clinical trials, study protocols, screening criteria, participant eligibility requirements, business affairs, staff, contractors, sponsors, clients or any other non-public information obtained by the Referrer through their participation in or interaction with FluCamp. Any breach of this clause may result in the Referrer being disqualified from the Referral Scheme and forfeiting any Referral Payment otherwise payable.

15. In the event a Referrer exercises their rights under applicable data protection legislation, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (as defined by section 3(10) of the Data Protection Act 2018), for their Personal Data to be deleted from all FluCamp systems, they shall no longer be eligible for (and shall waive their right to) any future Referral Payments, including but not limited to where a Referred Participant that was referred by the Referrer has already started a FluCamp clinical trial.

16. A Referred Participant will not be informed that a Referral Payment has been made to their Referrer and FluCamp will not update Referrers on the progress of their referrals. No Personal Data (as defined by the UK General Data Protection Regulation) relating to the Referred Participant will be provided to the Referrer.

Advertisements

17. All forms of advertisements which include and promote a Referral Code and are accessible to the wider public and or multiple persons, including, but not limited to, online or physical materials such as videos, social media posts, topic threads, images, and flyers etc (together “Referral Code Advertisements”) are the responsibility of the Referrer and are not created, approved or endorsed by FluCamp. The Referrer shall ensure that any Referral Code Advertisements are made in accordance with applicable law, including but not limited to all Advertising Standards Agency guidelines. FluCamp reserves the right to contact or disqualify a Referrer in the event that, at FluCamp’s sole discretion, it believes that the Referrer is providing misinformation of any kind, is misrepresenting FluCamp, or is acting in contrary to these Terms and Conditions.

Miscellaneous

18. FluCamp reserves the right to withdraw, stop, suspend or amend all or any part of the Referral Scheme or these Terms and Conditions at any time.

19. The Referrer agrees that FluCamp will not be held liable for any loss or claim arising out of the Referral Scheme.

20. In the event of any dispute regarding these Terms and Conditions, the rules of the Referral Scheme, and any payment disputes, the decision of FluCamp shall be final and binding.
