Our Trials

SIGN UP FOR A PAID CLINICAL TRIAL TODAY

At FluCamp, we specialise in conducting paid clinical trials, dedicated to advancing the understanding and treatment of viral illnesses. We recruit both asthmatic and non-asthmatic volunteers for our clinical and medical trials.

  • Flu Clinical Trials
  • Asthma Clinical Trials
  • RSV Vaccine Trials
  • Covid-19 Vaccine Trials

Our work and our volunteers help develop and test new drugs

Most of our clinical trials last between 11-15 days and some are residential, so volunteers will be quarantined during this time. To find out more about the experience of being a volunteer head over to our blog pages or read below for more information about the trials we run.

We can’t do it without you.

Non-Asthmatic Clinical Trials.
Our standard clinical trials for people aged 18 and over.

We run a range of flu, covid-19 and RSV vaccine trials to further understand how these viral illnesses work, how they affect people, and how we can treat them.

When you volunteer to take part in the FluCamp clinical trials process, you are helping to advance medical research and help us develop better medicines.

Help us find better treatments for the common cold.

We are always looking for volunteers to help us find better treatments for the common cold. If you have asthma, you’ll know how even a common cold can make your condition worse.

follow the 5-step Process to take part in a Flucamp clinical trial

1 Step one

Website Application & Phone Call

Fill out our online form and our team will carefully review responses. If you meet the criteria for any of our current or upcoming clinical trials, we’ll reach out to you. If there isn’t a trial that fits right now, don’t worry—we’ll keep your information on file and notify you as soon as a suitable opportunity arises. We will keep checking for up to 2 years!

We will call you and our team will give you more information, ask additional medical questions and answer all your queries. If everything looks good, we’ll schedule your initial screening appointment.

2 Step two

1st Screening

You can attend your screening at either our London or Manchester facilities. The appointment typically lasts around 15 minutes, though it may take up to 1 hour. For your time and travel, you’ll receive a payment of £40. During this visit, we’ll check your blood for antibodies against common viruses, like the flu, to determine if your levels meet the study’s requirements. We’ll also obtain your consent to contact your GP for your medical history. For more information, visit our FAQ’s.

3 Step 3

Health Check

If your antibody levels match with a clinical trial we are booking for and your medical history is aligned with our eligibility criteria, we’ll contact you to schedule a health check—what we like to call a “full body MOT.” This can take 2-4 hours at our London or Manchester facilities, and you’ll be compensated £70 for your time and travel. The assessment may include an ECG, a full blood test, a lung capacity test, blood pressure measurement, and more. The goal is to ensure that our amazing volunteers are fit and healthy for the trial.

4 Step four

Your Invitation

All being well at the health check and we can match you to a clinical trial, you will receive an official invitation! This includes detailed information about the study and what to expect.

Your Admission

You will be welcomed to our trial facility in Canary Wharf. On admission day, we’ll conduct tests to confirm if you’re still eligible. You’ll have a private room with an en-suite, meals, snacks, TV, Wi-Fi, and a PlayStation 5. Depending on the trial you are matched to you may be given a virus and/or administered a vaccine or other medication. Trials are typically 11-15 days long and our caring staff will monitor you closely throughout. You could earn up to £4,400 for your participation!

5 Step five

Final Check-up

Normally around a month after the end of your clinical trial we’ll give you a final check-up. This is to make absolutely sure you are completely healthy. Some studies require more than one follow-up visit.

When taking part in a residential stay you will have your own private room.

Whilst this is a modern medical facility specifically designed to help us treat you and monitor you during the trial, we have also worked hard to make sure your experience is as easy and enjoyable as possible.

Each room is equipped with everything you need to relax, including a flat screen TV, PlayStation 5, WiFi and en-suite bathroom. You can take a look at our testimonials to see how others found the FluCamp experience.

I can’t recommend it highly enough for the amount of money and the quality of care that FluCamp provides. I would 100% like to do FluCamp again.

FluCamp Volunteer

Had an absolutely amazing experience at FluCamp. Gave me a reasonably good time away from the whole daily hustle and bustle of life and a good time for some self reflections that was very much needed.

Your clinical trial questions answered.

  • Our offices are open Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm and our telephone team are available Monday to Friday, 8am – 7pm. If you are interested in volunteering in one of our clinical trials or require further information, please call us on 0207 756 1414. Alternatively, you can email us at [email protected].

  • Taking part in a clinical trial can offer many benefits, and we know our volunteers sign up for various reasons. Our testimonials show just some of the motivations for people to sign up. Whether studying, working, or taking a break from both, FluCamp gives volunteers the benefit of being cared for in every regard whilst having plenty of ‘me-time’. FluCampers also choose to stay with us because they like to use the compensation reward towards travelling, a house move, or just for a financial boost.

We run clinical trials because we are dedicated to finding a cure for viruses like the flu. We welcome all fit and healthy volunteers, and appreciate what they are doing to aid our work towards finding a cure!

  • You can take part multiple times! You can do a trial with us every 3 months*. If you’ve taken part previously, and completed quarantine over three months ago you can re-apply via email at [email protected]. *Please note this is dependent on trial availability and participant eligibility.

  • We take great care in matching volunteers to an appropriate study. Once you’ve been invited to join FluCamp we’ll give you a detailed explanation of the trial we’ve allocated you to and then it’s up to you to decide whether to take part. Your choice does not impact on whether you would be eligible to take part in any future studies. FluCamp has a very strict health screening process to ensure that we only accept the lowest risk volunteers. As part of our volunteering process, we will check your medical history, and do some current blood, urine and ECG tests to establish your suitability. This allows us to make sure we are only recruiting volunteers who are healthy.

  • You can register with us at anytime! Before booking your first screening appointment we would recommend that you have good availabillity three months following this as this tends to be when the trial will take place. We know there may be some times in the year when volunteers have other commitments that may clash with FluCamp dates. If you can give us as much notice as possible, we’ll try our best to schedule visits and studies for times that you are available.
